15% of the $MGTY is dedicated to airdropping the most performing Vault. We think that sending $MGTY tokens to the platform users is the best way to improve Magnety decentralization.
The amount scheduled for the airdrop x is split between the 5% most performant Vault by default (in case of a large number of inactive Vaults, this parameter could be changed by the governance) and decreases and decreases as we go further in the ranking:
10% of this amount is dedicated to the podium ● First place: 6% ● Second place: 2.5% ● Third place: 1.5%
40% of this amount is equally shared between the first third of the most performing Vaults. 30% of this amount is equally shared between the second third of the most performing Vaults. 20% of this amount is equally shared between the third third of the most performing Vaults.
As investment strategies can have different goals such as short-term or long-term performance, we decided to instate an airdrop each week and each 2 months which will reward respectively weekly most performant vaults and most performant vaults of the last 2 months. The amount of tokens distributed for the 2 months airdrop will be 8,6 times bigger than the weekly one.
The Vault selection will be done off-chain to improve security (because it can be easily manipulated). Note that Vaults with a very low GAV (gross asset value) won’t be taken into account for the Airdrop.
